NOITU is the audio-visual project of Saso Puckovski, a cross-disciplinary artist originating from Skopje, North Macedonia, currently based in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Saso is presently engaged in a diverse range of activities, primarily centered on site-specific and environmental interventions, where he designs spatial experiences that are aiming to seamlessly merge sound, imagery, and interactivity. His creative output also extends into the various fields of audio-visual performance and live sound improvisation practices.
NOITU's musical approach can be highly varied, often featuring meticulously crafted sonic textures and liminal audio sculptures, sometimes juxtaposed with syncopated polyrhythmic structures wihtin an unpredictable time signatures.
In live performance settings, he usually delves into the exploration of auditory perception thresholds, non-standard tuning systems, and obscure sound timbres. Often resulting in the creation of fragmented and tactile electroacoustic environments, backed up by unorthodox sound design and hyper-textural audio layering techniques.
